Amen, Captain Peter! I’m amazed at the number of reports of big fish killed just in the last year or so. Somehow, it seems its become acceptable again to kill big fish simply to weigh them. Buy a decent camera and take some shots of a beautiful, glowing live marlin and forget about standing next to a dead carcass hanging on a hook at the dock. The tournament community should insist on all release formats and a points system that rewards anglers for letting their quarry swim away from the battle unscathed. And publishers should refuse to feature shots of dead fish.
