Lizard Island, Australia – The 24th Lizard Island Black Marlin Classic has ended, with frustrating fishing the last few days. Viking II, with Capt. Billy Billson held on to the lead for the win with 7 Black Marlin tagged, but no fish in the last two days. Top Shot finished in 2nd Place with 6 Black Marlin tagged, but only had one fish tagged in the last three days.

The Tournament that is know for producing Granders, brought us only one fish for Moana III, a very nice 1,100 lbs black marlin (the only fish for them). There were some big fish out there however, with Viking II releasing two 900 lbs fish, Top Shot with one 900 lber, Iona with one 900 lber and Mistress with one 900 lber. Even with the slow fishing, no other tournament in the world can claim a Grander and five (5) 900 lbers.
