Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica – We got these shots from our friend Garrett Penley down in Costa. We are stumped. We have NEVER seen or even heard of a Blue Marlin or any billfish without a dorsal fin. We have seen (and even caught) marlin without a bill, torn fins etc. but none without a dorsal. We can’t understand how this fish swims with any stability.
