Cairns, Australia – Askari released 16 Black Marlin to win the 25th Annual Lizard Island Black Marlin Classic. Capt. Corey Hard with Johno and Jimmy on the deck pulled away from the pack beating the best boat by 6 tags. Day 4 proved to be their best day with 5 Black Marlin released. To add to their victory the guys released a Grander Black Marlin (1,100 lbs) on Day 6 as well as a 900 lbs black on Day 3. Little Audrey came in second place, with a respectable 10 Black Marlin released.
What is without a doubt the best tournament in the world for Big Fish, did not disappoint again. Three Grander Black Marlin were caught in the tournament (Grander Watch) along with 10 fish in the 900 lbs range. No other tournament can come close! Add some of the finest crews in the world and it is tough to not call this one of the best tournaments in the world.
