Jaco & Quepos, Costa Rica – After an absolutely incredible season last year, are boats out of Los Suenos and Quepos in for another season to remember? From early reports, it certainly appears so.
For many boats, December marks the start of the season as boats start to patrol the waters in search of Billfish. While known for their excellent Sailfishing, the Blue Marlin and even Striped Marlin bite can be very good. We are already getting 20+ Sailfish reports almost daily with the majority of the boats not even fishing. Top Report we have heard thus far came from Super Fly, releasing 40 Sailfish in one day. Dragin Fly released a Grand Slam with 14 Sailfish a Blue Marlin and a Striped Marlin and there have been other boats who have at least had a Grand Slam hooked up.
We are still very early in the season and the tournaments will not begin until 2015, so hold tight, this is going to be fun.
