November is usually dominated by Black Marlin due to the incredible fishing off the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and while November was a Black Marlin month with forty-three (43) reported to us, we had a surprising number of Blue Marlin with thirty-one (31). We had an impressive ten (10) Black Marlin Granders reported and two (2) Blue Marlin. Kekoa and Kaizen, both fishing off Northern Queensland released two (2) Grander Black Marlin each.

Cairns, Australia was by far our Top Fishery as expected with thirty-six (36) reported to us. Our Top Black Marlin boat was Kekoa with seven (7) Black Marlin over 500 lbs, with (5) of those over 900 lbs.

Cananvieiras, Brazil was our Top Fishery on Blue Marlin, with seven (7) reported to us. Our Top Blue Marlin boat however came out of Abidjan, Ivory Coast where Black Pearl released four (4) with one of those going over 1,000 lbs.

December is traditionally a slower month, but as always the fish don’t follow a calendar.
