Punta Cana, DR – With all the focus on the Blue Marlin fishing, some people forget how good the White Marlin fishing can be out of Cap Cana Marina. Until recent years, it was one of the most reliable White Marlin fisheries around and certainly one of the best in the Caribbean. Over the last few days a number of boats have been getting 10+ shots a day. Top days thus far have come from Legal Drug and Sea Check, who have both released 6 White Marlin in a day. There are of course a few Blue Marlin around, making for some exciting fishing. Best day we have heard of saw 44 White Marlin and 14 Blue Marlin released from the fleet. The bite should continue into June, but this really has become a year round fishery.
