Ocean City, MD – So a fantastic week of fishing has come to a close in Ocean City, MD, with an amazing 255 boats having fished this legendary tournament. Total purse this year was $2.1 million.
And congratulations to the Shelly II, with angler Brian Roberts, on a 97-pound white marlin which ended up being the highest payout ($857K). Largest blue caught in the week was a grander – the tournament’s second year in a row with a grander blue – on board the Let It Ride. 1,010 was the fish’s weight, with $423K as the prize.
The Fin Ness (1263 points) barely edged out the Trophy Hunter (1258) for top billfish points. Third was the Singularis (981), with the Fight-N-Lady and Backlash tied for fourth with 875 points.
