A pretty terrific season in the Azores this year, with by our count some 23 blue marlin released over 500 pounds in the month of September alone. No fish cleared the mark – many came close, with at least two 900+ fish…but all told a pretty phenomenal season, and a pity to see it end. In fact, one could argue the Azores has the best short blue season of any on earth – essentially two months of fishing, and regular visits from the large girls.
