La Gomera, Canary Islands – We have been getting a number of reports out of the Canary Islands, with most of the fish over the 500+ mark (which you know we love). We can only hope that this means a great season for the La Gomera, Madeira, The Azores and all of the other Eastern Atlantic hot spots.

Tracy Melton’s boat “Grander” is in Gomera at the moment. At the helm this year is Capt. Chris Sheeder. In two days fishing, they have raised 4 nice blue marlin, with three of them coming today. They got the hooks to stick in this nice 450 lbs blue marlin and they also are credited with this nice action shot of this blue.

We are expecting some big blue marlin to come out of the Eastern Atlantic as the Cape Verdes have already proved they are over there.
