Looking For a Big Blue Marlin?

Blue Marlin being revived.

Blue Marlin being revived.

If you’re looking for large blue marlin right now, there’s no better place in the world than Kona.  The fleet is seeing a disproportionate number of large fish – half are over 400 pounds, with numerous fish in the 700-pound class.

Not many boats in the fleet are out, but those that are are seeing fish of world-class size.  In the last several weeks…

– Illusions weighed a 619-pounder

– Tropical Sun released a 750-pounder

– Kona Joe released a 700

– Night Runner released a 550

– Top Shape released a 500

…and that’s not even speaking to the recent 1,245-pound blue caught by the Maggie Joe in Honolulu.

Some incredible fishing on the islands right now…we’ll keep you posted on what they’re seeing!
