30+ Sails a Day for “Swordfish” in Isla Mujeres

Isla Mujeres Sail behind "Swordfish"

Isla Mujeres, Mexico – It appears to be another great year for Isla Mujeres. The bait has been abundant and fishing consistent for over a month now. A lot of Carolina boats have been doing well, with Arch Bracher releasing 66 Sailfish in one day and a few other boats with 50+ days.

The Carolina boat, “Swordfish” a beautiful 53′ Custom Carolina, has been averaging an amazing 30+ Sailfish a day. Capt. Justin Ringer is at the helm, with sailfish spotting wiz Roberto Garrido working the deck. They are getting these fish both on the troll and on the large bait balls this area is so famous for. The boys are “full-on” sailfishing right now, but they get a really solid bite on whites and the man in the blue suit shows up a little later in the season.

White Marlin down in Mexico

The “Swordfish” is fishing January – May of 2011 down in Mexico until they head back up to North Carolina. If you are interested in learning more about their operation, go to www.swordfish-0bx.com
