Los Cabos Billfish Tournament

Cabo, Mexico – Tournament season is in full throttle on the Baja Peninsula with first of three tournaments in the books. Los Cabos Billfish Tournament is followed by Los Cabos Offshore and then the Big Boy, Bisbee’s Black and Blue.

There were two fish weighed in the 2011 Los Cabos Billfish Tournament, a 543 lbs Blue Marlin for Chupacabra and a 408 lbs Black Marlin for Angelina I. Both fish were the largest for their respective species, with two other fish weighed that did not qualify.

There were 42 Teams in all, with 55 Billfish released. 26 Sailfish, 16 Striped Marlin, 8 Blue Marlin and 5 Black Marlin.

Top release boat was was Picante 45 with 2 Blue Marlin and 1 Sailfish.
