Cap Cana Expectations

 

Cap Cana, DR – There are only a handful of places in the world where a 2 Blue Marlin day is considered “sub-par”, but on the East Coast of the Dominican Republic, this is the case. There does seems to be an inordinate¬†amount of Blue Marlin in these waters and while the majority may be small, they do have fish in the 500 lbs. class. I was fortunate enough to fish on the Blue Dog with Capt. Teak Bell for three days and despite releasing 5 Blue Marlin, our trip may be considered below the Cap Cana standard, well sign me up.

Here are some of the better reports over the last few days!

Caroline went 4-5 on Blue Marlin

Natural went 6-7 on Blue Marlin

Wound Up went 5-5 on Blue Marlin
