Riggers Full on Rebel

Mid Atlantic, USA – It appears the White Marlin run has begun. From Ocean City, Maryland to Oregon Inlet, North Carolina boats are returning home with riggers filled with Blue and White Flags. While most boats are getting a least five (5) Billfish shots a day, there are a few boats putting up serious numbers.

In Virginia Beach, Rebel could not fit another flag on their riggers returning with 26 White Marlin a Blue Marlin and a Sailfish, which was also a Grand Slam day. They followed up that day with an overnight trip that yielded 3 Blue Marlin (largest was 600 lbs.) as well as another 20 White Marlin. That is 46 White Marlin, 4 Blue Marlin and a Sailfish over the last two trips. Rebel was not alone out there though as Reelin N Dealin released 24 White Marlin and a Swordfish in their last overnight trip. Full Pull also fishing out of Virginia Beach managed a Grand Slam (Blue Marlin, White Marlin & Sailfish) one day, followed up with 9 White Marlin the following day.

While Virginia Beach may be leading the charge over the last few days, Moore Bills fishing out of Ocean City, Maryland had 18 White Marlin flags flying from their last trip and down off Oregon Inlet, North Carolina it is Grand Slam time with Carolina Time releasing two (2) slams and Miss Shell releasing a Slam as well.

The fish are just starting to make their was south, so we should see the bite only increase if you can imagine that. As always, we will keep you up to date!
