Lowcountry’s Blue Bite

Blue Marlin on the Daymaker

Charleston, SC – There has been a big wave of Blue Marlin in South Carolina’s Lowcountry and everybody is getting in on it. While not uncommon to have a nice wave of Blue Marlin this time of year, rather than seeing one a day, some boats are getting 3-4 Shots a day. The fish likewise do not seem to be concentrated in one area, with fish being caught in multiple depths. While a lot of attention tends to be in North Carolina, South Carolina has had a helluva run over the last week. While the full moon may have something to do with it, only time will tell how long this bite will last.

Here are some of the latest reports:

Georgetown, SC – Rascal released 2 Blue Marlin and 2 Sailfish.
