The Only Daily International Billfishing Report
Cairns, Australia – We are still waiting on the first Grander of the year for the boys on the Great Barrier Reef. Even without that magical 1,000 lber, there has been some good fishing. Today, we got a report that the Kekoa was 3-4, releasing a 250, 500 and an 800. The one that got away they called 900 lbs.…
Cairns, Aus – We knew it was coming, but we are still awaiting the first skipper to call the first Grander Black of the season. We have the 3rd 950+ lbs Black Marlin. This time, courtesy of Sea Baby IV. We are expecting a Grander of the GBR anytime now….

No fish cleared the mark – many came close, with at least two 900+ fish…but all told a pretty phenomenal season, and a pity to see it end. In fact, one could argue…
Cairns, Aus – Well, the Great Barrier Reef has produced another monster Black Marlin. The Iona, coming off a 7-day trip, released a Black they called 950 lbs. They also released a 500 lber in the same trip. That makes two 950+ Black Marlin on the reef thus far this season. Thanks very much to Black Marlin Blog for letting…
St Thomas, USVI – We got this video from a great underwater photographer named Marc Montoccohio. We have been posting a lot of videos lately, but hey, these have been pretty awesome. Marc made sure to let me know that the quality of the video had to be drastically reduced for a quick post on the internet. The finished product will…
